THE STUDIO OF UCCELLO
City Listing: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Ken started out as a Lithography Designer and began his own painting business over 30 years ago. The primary focus was high end new home construction. He is known in the building industry as the “premier” enamel painter in the Milwaukee and surrounding suburbs. The clients were so impressed with his quality and attention to detail that they requested decorative finishes too. As the business grew, Ken began to look at providing “Old World” plaster finishes for his niche market. He attended The School of Italian Plasters in April of 2005 after much research. When meeting with architects within our market share he quickly realized that the demand for these authentic plasters was beyond expectations. Thus, The Studio of Uccello became the division of our company for the application and marketing of the Italian plasters. He also brought on board his wife, Sally and daughter, Julie to handle the marketing and to become certified applicators.
Sally has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a 25 year career in Health Care Administration. Four years ago she decided she needed a change and began to assist Ken in running the painting business. Four months after Ken’s schooling, she and Julie also became certified applicators. Sally now runs the financial end of the business along withing in the field.
In 1992 she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management with a Minor in Business. After working 10 years in the industry, she decided to take a break and be with her kids. The last 5 years were spent focusing on sales and marketing. In 2005 she attended the School of Italian Plasters to learn not only to learn the process of application, but the history and quality of the products of Safra. The past year was spent developing a marketing strategy and selling the concept of authentic Italian plasters to architects, business owners, and home owners alike. The Studio of Uccello offers the experience of sound business management, the highest quality product, and beautiful artistry and workmanship. The Studio of Uccello’s areas of focus are: commercial, yachts, and residential.
