will showcase a new Venetian Plaster applicator.
This month we will focus on Igor Korsunskiy
of Artifex
Igor Korsunskiy was born in Russia where he and his brother
studied drawing and painting in the Art Studio. In 1994 they
brought their talents to the United States. While working in
different fields, they kept their artistic proficiency throughout
the years by painting for recreation as well as commission.
2001 was the year when their occasional artistic opportunities
turned into a career. While working for a faux finishing company
their capabilities broadened by learning new techniques of faux
finishing and ornamental artwork.
Additionally, they became convinced that starting their own
company would provide clients with a better quality product
and service, and provide more flexibility with their own personal
suggestions and recommendations. In 2002 ARTIFEX was established.
Shortly after, they became certified in Italian Plaster application
to further expand their broad range of decoration.
ARTIFEX in Latin means: artist, artistic or master. These are
the qualities that their company is working to sustain.
